Job description

 We are seeking an Operations Support Analyst specializing in Corporate Actions to support our client’s Equities business. You will play a critical role in managing the operational lifecycle of various corporate events. This role is instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate processing, mitigating risks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of equities operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of corporate actions and equity market operations to contribute to a dynamic and expanding team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front to back processing of Equity Corporate Actions including but not limited dividends, stock splits, mergers, acquisitions, rights issues, and tender offers

  • Perform reconciliations of corporate action entitlements and positions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly with internal teams and external counterparties

  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve corporate action-related exceptions and issues, escalating complex problems as needed

  • Work closely with front office (trading, sales), middle office, custodians, clearers, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure smooth processing and clear communication regarding corporate action events

·       Identify process and workflow improvement opportunities and contribute to system enhancement initiatives as appropriate

Job requirements

Qualifications:

·       Degree Holder in Business Administration, Banking & Finance or related

·       3-5 years’ of working knowledge of Equities market mechanics and function in the area of corporate actions or trade settlements.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen eye for detail and accuracy

·       Highly organized and able to work under pressure and manage deadlines

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate complex issues to diverse stakeholders

·       Familiarity with relevant operations systems (e.g., settlement systems, reconciliation tools) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

This is fixed term contract position located in Malaysia.
