Role Overview:
To set up and send out corporate action information to clients accurately and in a timely manner also manage the election process for a corporate action through to deadline, balancing long and short positions and sending instructions to our local agent bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the different types of corporate action event and their nuances

  • Managing Client, Firm risk during the lifecycle of the corporate action event

  • Developing a strong relationship with stakeholders

  • Developing relationships with all our agent banks, registrars, and exchanges

  • Collecting any required legal or jurisdictional documentation

  • Providing input into new service level agreements

  • Liaising with legal around restrictions

  • Communicating with external agents and internal business units

Job requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience withing Financial Services, particularly relating to Asset Services, Corporate Actions, Shared Utility Ops Functions (e.g. Settlements, Reconciliations)

  • Good analytical skills

  • Strong team player with good communication skills

  • Commercial understanding of the markets and a client need

  • Can work well under pressure, lending control and order to a difficult or pressurised situation

  • Strong organizational skills, to be able to use time well and prioritise tasks effectively

  • Attention to detail, risk awareness and appropriate escalation

  • Good time management is essential, as the role is in a high-volume, high-risk area that works to strict deadlines

This is a permanent full-time position located in Glasgow. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our client’s now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
