Role: Assistant Manager of Operations, Cross Asset Confirmations

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Permanent


Role Overview:

This position lies within the Cross-Asset Confirmation Service within our clients Global Market Operations Function. The Assistant Manager of Operations role would be to lead a team of highly motivated individuals whose function is to process all Outgoing (Drafting) Confirmations tasks & also Incoming Indexing/Matching/Affirmations/Chasing) Confirmations across OTC Derivatives (Rates/Equities/Credit/FXO) business for our client, focusing and ensuring the timely confirmation retrieval & dispatch to meet the EMIR and DFA requirements.

The role will need to ensure Group standards are always adhered to and Best Practice Guidelines are followed wherever possible to meet our Regulatory obligations.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Global teams to ensure confirmation retrieval is within Regulatory timelines.
  • Build relationships between Delta Capita and Client teams to increase efficiencies and to create best practice.
  • To work closely with Client business partners to ensure a high standard of communication is maintained between teams.
  • Active involvement in industry and market initiatives.
  • Fully support all Departmental projects and user testing.
  • Continuously evaluate existing processes, challenging current procedures and suggesting enhancements as appropriate, to improve the Customer Service Proposition and increase levels of efficiency and STP at all levels and enhance controls.
  • Continuously re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management
  • Active involvement in working groups by gathering feedback from end users and providing input to the business on platform and design enhancements.
  • Maintains our clients internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Job requirements

Skills and Experience Required

         

Knowledge

  • Experience in Derivatives (Rates Derivatives or Equity Derivatives) operations would be an advantage.
  • A degree in accounting/finance/management/business administration is preferred. Higher qualification not a barrier provided experience is aligned with the position.


Experience

At least 8 years of experience in OTC Derivative Ops preferred. Experience in Outgoing (Drafting) & Incoming (Indexing/Matching/Affirmations/Chasing) processes would be an added advantage.


Skills

  • Ability to speak and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to write business letters and reports.
  • Good conversational/telephone skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately.
  • Possess knowledge on MS Office with good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts to meet international business needs
  • Ability to build rapport with and relate to and effectively develop individuals and a team ethic.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working within a dynamic, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Good Communication, planning and organizing skills.
  • Able to work under challenging environment with tight timelines.

This is a permanent, full-time position located in Kuala Lumpur. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
