Job description
Role Summary
The role will need to ensure Group standards are always adhered to and Best Practice Guidelines are followed wherever possible to meet our Regulatory obligations. This position lies within the OTC Derivative Confirmations team.
Prepare timely and accurate trade confirmations for OTC derivative products
Coordinate and support the documentation aspects of credit event processing
Ongoing engagement in and supervision of vendor supported processes
Provide documentation support to institutional sales and trading and bank resource management on ad hoc deals and projects
Work across various regions and departments to ensure timely resolution of drafting related queries.
Provide SME support for the ongoing process standardisation and confirmation templatization initiatives
Responsibility for performance of various other functions within the team as allocated
Identify risk issues, escalate where appropriate & provide assistance in resolving
Organise own day to day tasks per functional procedures to ensure all priority tasks are completed to deadline specifically using the appropriate systems/tools
Review weekly figures against designated metrics and provide status to Supervisor/Manager on reportable items where required
Actively ensure upward, downward & peer communication of developments and issues
Carry out tasks related to the job in accordance with the instructions of the superior
Create a culture of continued process improvement, innovation and strategy
Establish regular team meetings, huddles
Ensure Daily Tasks are completed, leveraging management tools
Management of Team Depth Charts
Run and analyse capacity utilization metrics Input for responsible functions
Business Continuity Planning for responsible functions
Maintenance of SOP's
Job requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Strong OTC derivatives product knowledge
Experience in OTC confirmations process
Accuracy, attention to detail
Solid organisation and communication skills
Ability to work well within a team on a regional as well as global level
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, and/or other relevant applications
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Attention to detail and organisational skills
Leadership and team management skills
