Test Automation Engineer

Location: Bangalore/Pune

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automated Software Tester to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies with a specific focus on creating and maintaining automated test scripts.

You will work closely with developers and other testers to ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Role and Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the software meets functional and non-functional requirements.

Collaborate with development teams to define and understand testing requirements and identify test cases suitable for automation.

Perform continuous integration testing to verify the stability of builds and deployment pipelines.

Analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

Enhance test automation frameworks and tools for better scalability and efficiency.

Ensure test coverage for both new features and regression tests is comprehensive.

Provide technical expertise in automation testing tools and best practices.

Troubleshoot and debug automated test scripts in case of failures.

Document test processes, test cases, and automation standards.

Stay up to date with industry trends and continuously improve testing practices and tools.

Experience and Qualifications:

Proven experience in software testing with a focus on automation.

Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).

Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Ruby.

Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) tools

Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

Familiarity with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience in mobile test automation using tools like Appium or similar.

Exposure to AI/ML in the context of testing.
