Job requirements
Roles and Responsibilities:
Draft Confirmations requests from counterparties and internal stakeholders.
Risk mitigate and confirm OTC derivative transitions with both internal and external clients via paper or electronic confirmation process.
Deal with trade confirmation language discrepancies and economic breaks, investigating issues to confirm root cause and manage through to resolution
Collaborate with counterparties and internal stakeholders - resolving urgent issues, clarification of issues or drafting points on outstanding trade confirmations.
Create confirmation templates where necessary, seeking Sales, Trading and Legal approvals.
Support Rsk, Legal and Trading teams, proposing solutions across documentation.
Deliver strategic projects to drive efficiency and enhanced controls.
Manage other tasks assigned as demand dictates.
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum 8-12 years’ experience within the structured products space
Knowledge of the 2002 and 2006 ISDA Equity and Swap Definitions & terms
Knowledge of key economic (& non-economic) terms within Confirmation documentation
Good front to back knowledge across Confirmations drafting space
Strong communication skills
Experience working with OTC Equity Structured Products. Such products include Conditional Variance Swaps, Phoenix Autocalls, Swap Strategies, Worst/Best of Strategies. Covering vanilla and exotic products.
