Job description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Expert Advisory

    • Provide specialized knowledge in bond issuance processes, focusing on the allotment and pricing methodologies for T-bills and government securities.

    • Advise on auction and syndication mechanisms, pricing models, and secondary market implications.

    • Offer insights into global best practices, regulatory requirements, and innovations in the bond markets.

  2. Process Optimization

    • Design and recommend efficient systems and workflows for allotment and pricing in line with industry standards.

    • Evaluate current practices and identify areas for improvement in accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency.

  3. Stakeholder Engagement

    • Act as the primary point of contact for institutional clients, government agencies, and central banks regarding issuance-related matters.

    • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, technology, and compliance, to align processes with client needs and regulatory expectations.

  4. Risk and Compliance Management

    • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory frameworks and guidelines during the issuance and pricing of securities.

    • Identify potential risks in the pricing and allotment process and propose mitigation strategies.

  5. Data Analysis and Reporting

    • Leverage advanced analytical tools to model bond pricing and allotment scenarios.

    • Prepare comprehensive reports and insights on issuance outcomes, market trends, and performance metrics.

  6. Training and Knowledge Sharing

    • Conduct workshops and training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders to build expertise in bond issuance, pricing, and allotment strategies.

    • Stay updated on market developments and ensure dissemination of knowledge across teams.

Job requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

    • Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are highly desirable.

  • Work Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in bond issuance, with a strong focus on T-bills and government securities or any other Commercial Bond Desk

    • Demonstrated expertise in pricing models, allotment strategies, and auction mechanisms.

    • Proven experience working with government agencies, central banks, or financial institutions.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, MATLAB, FactSet etc.

    • Familiarity with bond auction platforms and regulatory systems.

    • Strong understanding of primary and secondary market operations.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
