Job description
We are hiring a specialist Business Analyst with a strong focus on data to ensure the integrity, quality, and successful migration of all financial data. This role is crucial for a professional with 4-5 years of experience who understands the importance of data in a large-scale project.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a deep analysis of data flows and data models within the current Equities settlements ecosystem
Document the end-to-end data lineage from source systems to the existing settlements platform, and then map it to the new platform, ensuring all data dependencies are captured
Data Requirements: Define detailed data requirements for the new system, including data points, formats, validation rules, and transformation logic
Data Migration Strategy: Collaborate with the technology team to develop and validate the data migration strategy, including reconciliation plans and cut-over procedures
Data Quality: Work with stakeholders to establish data quality metrics and implement controls to ensure a seamless data transition
Reporting & Reconciliation: Define requirements for new data-related reports and reconciliation processes to support the new settlements platform
Collaborate with Technology teams to design optimal future-state settlement processes and solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the bank's strategic objectives.
Job requirements
Qualifications:
Degree Holder in Business Administration, Banking & Finance or related
4-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a data-centric role within the financial services industry
Solid understanding of the equities trade lifecycle and experience with post-trade settlement data
Proven ability to perform data analysis, with hands-on experience using SQL for querying and manipulating data
Practical experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen eye for detail and accuracy
Highly organized and able to work under pressure and manage deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
