Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Business Development executive to join our New York sales team. You will work directly with prospects and business stakeholders and will be responsible for implementing our pre-sales outreach strategy across our CLM business globally.

This is a role with a focus on new business development, with the candidate being responsible for feeding the sales cycle, meeting with potential clients, formulating and presenting pre-sales proposals, and building long-term relationships with clients.

This is an exciting role as we look to expand our client footprint in North America. The preferred candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit with a focused approach as we develop this fast-growing part of our business.

The role and responsibilities:

  • Own the Pre-Sales Process globally across our CLM services and technology business

    • Plan and manage client outreach (Traditional & Digital)

    • Identify demand and opportunities by key client channels

    • Drive client journey feeding the 7-stage CLM sales funnel

    • Maintain Salesforce database, and adjacent global CLM Masterlist ‘the hopper’ from pipeline development to execution

    • Maintain live client profile map and sales funnel documentation

  • Business Development

    • Develop product ideas and campaigns with the specialist practice areas, focusing on CLM regulatory and business change opportunities

    • Work with CLM marketing to enrich the marketing and digital strategy

Required Experience:

  • Experience targeting financial institutions with a focus on regulatory technology

  • Experience working for, or closely with, service providers to Financial Services customers

  • Knowledge and experience of the sales lifecycle

  • Proven ability to manage net new business as well as develop existing business opportunities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Commercially driven experience and demonstrable results

Job requirements

Required Skills:

  • 2 years minimum experience in a BDR, SDR, or sales support role (preferably in fintech, legal tech, SaaS, or professional services).

  • Previous in Tier II-III US banks, US buy-side firms (e.g., asset managers, insurance companies and VC/PE firms) plus US custodian/administrators. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and a passion for legal and commercial innovation.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools (SalesForce desirable) and sales engagement platforms.

  • Hunger and strong organizational skills to develop a dynamic people-oriented business

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Accurate reporting skills and attention to detail

  • Self managed - Energetic, flexible and capable of operating remotely

  • Responsive to customers business needs and clear focus on maintaining excellent customer service

Salary Range : $70k - $90k base
