We have an exciting opportunity to work within our Post Trade Services team to provide ongoing support to a Tier 1 Global Investment Bank as a Collateral Optimisation Specialist. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic and challenging environment, covering the firm’s collateral management.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Exposure / Collateral management across either CCPs, Triparty or Bilateral transactions

  • Product exposure can include either some or all of Stock Loan, Repo and Derivative transactions

  • Ensuring the firm’s Liquidity and Capital optimisation targets are met, whilst meeting regulatory requirements across LCR, NSFR and Intraday Liquidity requirements

  • Proactively explore tactical and strategic solutions to close identified control gaps, working with other groups as appropriate

  •  Maintain a clear focus on enhancing control and continuously improving and reducing operational risks.

  • Troubleshoot problems arising on an ad-hoc basis

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent: analytical, financial or mathematically related subject preferred

  • Prior exposure of either derivative, stock loan or repo products

  • Understanding of front to back trade booking flows

  • Understanding of legal documentation from CSAs, to GMRAs and GMSLAs

  • Understanding of key Optimisation initiatives such as Cheapest to Deliver, inclusive of Liquidity/Capital metrics such as LCR, NSFR, Intraday Liquidity, Leverage and Capital ratios

  • Good analytical skills are essential for the role, attention to detail will also be a requirement

  • Good interpersonal and relationship management skills, being able to communicate clearly and concisely.

  • Convey issues succinctly to front office stakeholders and to reach timely resolutions with counterparties

  • Ability to organise efficiently and prioritise multiple outstanding deadlines as required

  • Self-starter and team player
