Analyst/Senior Analyst - Equity Derivatives Confirmations (Post Trade Services)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Role Summary
- Responsible for providing support to the Equities Derivatives Confirmations process for APAC region in performing confirmations queue’s such as Affirmation/Chasing/Indexing/Matching.
- Ensuring USI/UTI trades are to be exchanged, chased (if required) with external counterparties, escalated and updated to internal system in a timely and accurate manner for the Equity Derivatives product.
- Need to ensure risk is mitigated for affirmation and matching of confirmations with timely and accurate processing.
- Ensuring regulatory requirement, Group standards and SOX compliance are adhered to at all times and Best Practice Guidelines are followed.
Role and Responsibilities:
- To ensure all daily and periodic tasks relating to your role are completed in a timely manner and in line with departmental procedures and controls.
- Maintain high levels of customer service (both internal and external) relating to any and all queries and tasks relating to your role within the confirmations team.
- Effective management of process issues and reporting and ensuring the timely escalation of issues that occur with appropriate resolution.
- Improve efficiency by regular review of existing processes and suggest refinement/changes when identified.
- To make sure all MI is produced, and trend analysis is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all outstanding confirmations KPI/KRI are monitored on a daily basis with prompt and timely escalations of issues.
- To be aware and understand the key drivers that create risk exposure for the Front Office and Operational Areas and to suggest improvements that can actively reduce that risk where possible.
- Ensure a robust Business Contingency plan is in place with testing conducted to ensure the effectiveness.
- Problem situations are proactively identified, resolved and escalated to give maximum customer satisfaction.
- Periodical MI submitted accurately and in line with customer and business needs.
- Understanding of the factors involved in the risk exposure for the Front Office and Operational Areas and to actively reduce that risk where possible
- To ensure SOX compliance is fulfilled at all times.
Job requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
- University Degree with 2-4 years of experience.
- Experience in a banking or financial services environment.
- Knowledge of Global Banking and Markets business, products and workflows is preferred.
- Prior experience in delivering business / technical training is preferred (either as a subject matter expert or process trainer)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and transfers knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.
- Hands on in WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT.
- Ability to adapt to variable working shift hours to support training on demand for the business time zones supported.
