This is a great opportunity to join Delta Capita’s fast-growing Post Trade Services (PTS) Business working with some of the world’s leading financial institutions.

Delta Capita helps clients in facing new post-trade regulatory requirements, such as trade and transaction reporting, by offering solutions tailored to specific outcomes.


Role Description & Responsibilities

Derivative Post Trade Operations (DPTO) is a client facing team;  the main focus is the affirmation and confirmation of derivative trades across the FX, Rates, Credit, Equity and Commodity Asset classes. 


Given the stringent targets defined by both the regulators and internal risk teams the candidate will be required to work closely with sales, traders, trade support, drafting, legal and global DPTO counterparts. Initially they will work to resolve any internal bottlenecks or client queries and ensure confirmation of trades to manage risk and exposure for the firm. Other aspects of the role include the checking and reconciliation of client trade details. The candidate will also be involved projects and enhancements, building upon our strategic goal of creating a consistent global approach, leveraging automation and process improvement wherever possible.


Responsibilities

  • Manage outstanding FX unexecuted confirms, following up with counterparties and resolving discrepancies/disputes as applicable
  • Prepare and distribute periodic senior management updates on outstanding and progress
  • Identify missed STP opportunities and engage relevant teams to address
  • Work across various regions and departments to ensure timely confirm execution
  • Provide SME support for the ongoing process standardisation and confirmation STP
  • Identify risk issues, escalate where appropriate & provide assistance in resolving
  • Actively ensure upward, downward & peer communication of developments and issues
  • Carry out tasks related to the job in accordance with the instructions of the superior
  • Responsibility for performance of various other functions within the team as allocated
  • Analysis of confirmation execution trends across our client base
  • Assisting in the development and management of any enhancements to the product and business including the movement of clients onto electronic matching platforms

Job requirements

  • Strong OTC derivatives product knowledge
  • Experience in OTC confirmations process
  • Accuracy, attention to detail
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and under time pressure
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Solid organisation
  • Ability to work well within a team on a regional as well as global level
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, and/or other relevant applications
