Location: Hong Kong - Hybrid

Role Overview:

We are looking for experienced Production Support / DevOps Specialists from Mid to Senior Level who will support our clients OTC Derivatives cashflow settlement system. Working within a DevOps model where over 2000 changes are made each year. You will be supporting changes on a day-to-day basis.

Job requirements

Core Responsibilities:

  • Working in Production and Incident management.
  • Working across Calypso as a back-office system gained through experience with settlements and accounting functionality.
  • Work across SQL and database procedures gained through either Sybase, Oracle or SQL-Server
  • Provide daily application production support for applications working closely with our client's business team.
  • Lead small/medium production team and or build teams from scratch.
  • Effectively handling the Compliance, Regulatory and Audit related work. Make sure the risk and compliance work items are closed on or before the timeline.
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate within the teams to get the production, risk and control work prioritized according to the deadline and track it to the closure.
  • Monitor service availability of applications by performing sanity of application in production.
  • Undertake production incident management as well as work towards continual improvement to existing services.
  • Involve in Incident Management and crisis calls to investigate and communicate on incident updates and business impact. Escalate properly to different support party.
  • Post implementation review documentations and follow up on actions.
  • Report on service availability, record, and log incidents in a timely manner, as well as to communicate to IT and business.
  • Analyze the production business tickets and provide timely analysis and solutions to business. Track and close change tickets on time.
  • Planning and execution of disaster recovery to demonstrate production application capability in contingency site.
  • Arrange Role swap, Patching, Vulnerabilities fixes, server reboot and other release activities in time, make sure deadline are not breached.
  • Arrange timely patches and vulnerability fixes on the production servers to safeguard from attacks and disruptions to production environment.
  • Work on audit requests and ensure the timelines are met. Escalate in case of challenges.
  • Maintain knowledge repository for best practices, support procedures and evidence from activities performed on production.


Skills and Experience Required


  • 3-10 years’ experience.
  • Experience of Calypso as a back-office system gained through experience with settlements and accounting functionality.
  • Experience of Scheduling Tools like Control-M or Autosys.
  • Good knowledge of Unix, SQL (Sybase), Windows Server and Java.
  • Experience on Ticketing Tools like GSD or Service Now or Remedy.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving is essential.
  • Able to handle crisis situations without any slippage on timely communication.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable operating in an “agile” development team, self-starting, motivated.
  • Takes ownership, pride in delivered work
  • Good deadline management and communication for delays, slippages.
  • Financial Services background


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Jenkins, scanning tools, JIRA and version control tools like RTC & GIT.
  • Good knowledge of Devops tooling and processes/concepts.
  • Good experience of automation using linux scripting and Java.
  • Good to have ITIL framework knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of Core Java (preferably on Java8) and RMI.
  • Jenkins, Ant build, Maven, Continuous integration.
  • Ansible or Other Deployment Tools.
  • Knowledge of primary market Investment Banking products.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity, Credit, FX and Commodities derivative products.

Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
