Frontend Developer - Angular

Role summary

We are hiring a Frontend Developer to help us in the build our platforms within the Delta Capita, Capital Markets division which supports top-tier investment banks and financial services firms with lifecycle of OTC products.

The platform we are building is Cloud-hosted, and a fully server-less service. We have an opportunity for a Frontend Developer to learn and grow within Financial Services, as well as engaging with, and delivering upon, a true AWS-based environment.

The future-state platform builds and deploy will be a major part of their role. But we would welcome the Frontend Developer to be involved when clients have incidents expecting this individual to want to be an active part of trouble-shooting incidents, as much as being a part of the DC developer community.

Reporting into the Delta Capita Capital Markets development teams, working within each of the core platform component teams. We need this person to embrace the business we are building, work closely with our business stakeholders, and to help train, and support future generations of the team.

Key responsibilities

As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Angular application platforms, which provides our clients within multiple world-renowned financial institutions, the technology capabilities to support their capital markets business. You will work closely with our backend developers and designers to create a seamless and engaging user experience.

Develop and maintain Angular applications using JavaScript/TypeScript.

Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and services.

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Troubleshoot and debug applications.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Frontend Developer.

Strong proficiency in Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.

Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills.

Secure Coding Practices

Pipeline delivery tools / Continuous Integration frameworks

Agile/Scrum

Desirable Skills & Experience

AWS experience

AWS Lambda experience

AWS Tooling 

S3 experience

Familiarity with any of the following MySQL, Python, Kotlin, and Java.

Experience working in Consulting Businesses

Experience working with Investment Banks
