Job description

We are seeking an experienced Governance & Compliance professional to provide interim support within a Financial Services Compliance function. This role will play a key part in the ongoing operation, enhancement and oversight of compliance governance and policy frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practice. This is a high-impact contract role, offering strong stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to influence compliance practices across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Compliance Policy & Governance Framework

  • Review and update compliance policies, frameworks, methodologies, and supporting documentation

  • Provide Second Line oversight, guidance, and constructive challenge to business (First Line) functions

  • Support governance forums and contribute to committee materials and reporting

  • Assist in the annual compliance monitoring and assurance planning process

Identify and escalate material compliance risks, control weaknesses, and regulatory concerns

  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, HR, Internal Audit, and senior stakeholders to ensure a coordinated compliance approach

  • Contribute to compliance training and awareness initiatives

Job requirements

  • Proven experience in compliance within a regulated financial services environment (e.g. banking, insurance, payments)

  • Strong understanding of compliance governance, policy frameworks, and regulatory obligations

  • Experience operating within a Second Line Compliance function (preferred)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics

  • Ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced interim environment

  • Financial Crime knowledge is advantageous, but not essential

  • Relevant compliance qualification or degree preferred

This is a fixed-term / Perm contract full-time position located in Dublin. For this role a valid working permit for Ireland is mandatory.

Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 days and even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our client demands.
