Role Overview:

This role requires a strong hands-on project Manager to work closely with the TWD Programme Director in supporting the programme. This is a lead PM role within the central programme team, working with project managers who manage the delivery of specific projects to meet prioritised programme outcomes.  

 

The project streams are led by multiple functions including Product Control, Traded Risk, Liquidity, Collateral and Markets and Securities Services. As such the role will support x-functional deliveries providing support to the project streams and helping to maintain strong programme governance including planning, critical path management, reporting, risk and issues management, change control and quality assurance.

 

They will work closely with the TWD Programme Director to ensure alignment of project with the wider change portfolio and the Group Strategy, Values and Behaviours. The lead PM will be responsible for administering and running the programme Delivery WG which encompasses all stakeholders and support the programme director in running the TWD Management Focus forum and PSC. 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Support the Delivery of key projects TWD

  • Support the information gathering, analysis and documentation of the ‘Current’ state where required

  • Coordinate and manage the project deliveries ensuring alignment with TWD and wider HSBC organisational goals, and following PMO standards

  • Oversee integratred plans, milestonse , dependencies and ctritical paths. Montior progress and recommend remeidaitons as required.

  • Support each programme workstream and impacted user group in effecting the transition from implementation into Business-As-Usual.

Knowledge:

  • Excellent understanding of the project lifecycle

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practice techniques

  • Excellent knowledge of financial institutions, global markets, trading environments and traded risk

  • Excellent knowledge of the different functions within a Risk organisation

  • Strong understanding of how change drives benefits for the bank, its customers and other stakeholders

  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority, diverse cultures & geographical locations

Job requirements

Experience:

  • Extensive project management skills and experience of managing large and complex global projects

  • Good stakeholder management experience, especially impactful communication, influencing and running project governance Implementation, change management and benefits realisation

  • Multiple strong examples of the delivery of on time and on budget projects that achieve business case stated outcomes – a driver with bias towards delivery at pace and controlling project outcomes

  • Strong people manager and broad experience in managing global virtual teams of different cultures

  • Worked in a banking environment and change projects in a Risk or Front Office function

  • Implementation, change management and benefits realisation

  • Experience defining and documenting organisations & business process models

  • Strong attention to detail and being solution oriented.

Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our client’s now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
