Loan Closing Associate

We are seeking an Operations Specialist to support private markets and alternative investment activities across a diverse range of asset classes and investment strategies. This role sits at the intersection of front-to-back operations, working closely with investment professionals, finance, legal, technology, risk, and external counterparties to facilitate transaction execution, lifecycle management, and operational risk mitigation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting complex transactions, driving process efficiency, managing exceptions, and contributing to strategic initiatives, including new product implementation and operating model enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and position management.

Coordinate transaction execution and closing activities with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.

Ensure trade economics, cash flows, and lifecycle events are accurately captured within relevant systems and platforms.

Investigate and resolve trade exceptions, breaks, and operational issues in a timely manner.

Partner with investment, finance, legal, risk, and technology teams to support new products, business initiatives, and process improvements.

Analyze complex transaction structures and develop scalable operational solutions to support booking, lifecycle processing, and reporting requirements.

Contribute to operational risk management through effective controls, documentation, and governance practices.

Participate in testing, implementation, and change management activities related to systems, processes, and new business initiatives.

Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing risk, and improving service delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Strong understanding of operational processes within financial markets.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.

Proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a continuous improvement orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting alternative investments, private markets, or complex financial products.

Knowledge of one or more asset classes, including:

Derivatives (FX, Interest Rate, Credit)

Loans and Private Credit

Equities

Fixed Income Securities

Real Assets and Alternative Investments

Understanding of trade lifecycle management, settlement, confirmations, and position management processes.

Experience with risk management, trade capture, booking, or portfolio management platforms.

Exposure to operational change initiatives, process transformation programs, or strategic project delivery within financial services.

This is a fixed term; position located in Hong Kong. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
