Loan Closing - New York

We have an exciting opportunity to work with one of our prestigious clients at a Tier 1 Investment Bank. You will be working as part of a fast-paced Loan Closing team, communicating with multiple teams internally and externally. We are looking for someone with commercial loans experience (bilateral and syndicated loans) and loan lifecycle knowledge. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of Par and Distressed deals.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the closing process for all loan trades from trade date to settlement, resolving escalations such as trade discrepancies, cancellations, rebookings, adjustments, and participations.

• Review required documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.

• Verify the accuracy of trade documentation, including confirmations, assignment agreements, participation documents, and funding memos.

• Confirm financial calculations such as delayed compensation, cost of carry, and commitment reductions.

• Manage corporate actions related to loan trades, including processing, tracking, and reporting adjustments or changes affecting loans.

• Troubleshoot trade discrepancies, maintain trade status updates, and escalate issues as needed.

• Complete daily and escalation reports, including delayed compensation, unallocated/pulled trades, fee reconciliations, and block allocations.

• Collaborate with counterparties, servicing teams, and traders to ensure seamless operations and compliance.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• Commercial loans product knowledge (Par and Distressed)

• Prior loan closing experience

• Understanding of syndicated loans lifecycle

• Familiarity with loan documentation (LMA/ LSTA, credit agreements, funding memos etc)

• 5+ years relevant financial experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication skills

• Advanced Excel skills

• Attention to detail

Expectations Regarding Hybrid Working:

As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy on physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly, this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita requires. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 or even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our clients’ demands. 

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
