Job description
Location: Baltimore/Charlotte
We have an exciting opportunity to work with one of our prestigious clients at a Tier 1 Investment Bank. You will be working as part of a fast-paced Loan Servicing operations team, communicating with multiple teams internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage key loan lifecycle transactions such as payoffs, defeasances, borrower auto‑debit setup, and investor‑level updates tied to loan sales, transfers, and Agency securitizations.
Ensure all servicing actions adhere to requirements set by the GSEs and internal operational standards.
Analyze and interpret Agency loan documents—including notes, payoff instructions, riders, and modification agreements—to confirm that system data accurately reflects contractual terms.
Identify data gaps or inconsistencies and provide well‑supported recommendations for corrections.
Oversee the daily upload and approval of Bloomberg index data used for floating‑rate Agency loans.
Implement index adjustments or benchmark changes as mandated by the GSEs or triggered by shifts in market conditions.
Lead daily oversight of exception reports, approving maintenance items and guiding team members through the resolution of complex outages or data breaks.
Conduct high‑level system adjustments, investigate recurring exceptions, and recommend enhancements that strengthen data integrity and reduce operational risk.
Coordinate payment of post‑closing fees to attorneys, investors, and external stakeholders, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly executed.
Maintain compliance with internal controls and audit requirements surrounding fee disbursements.
Job requirements
Associate:
1–3 years of experience in loan operations, commercial mortgage servicing, financial operations, or a related function.
Exposure to Agency (GSE) loan products, commercial real estate lending, or structured loan servicing preferred.
Familiarity with loan documentation and an understanding of how data flows into servicing systems.
Ability to work with exception reporting and perform basic system maintenance with oversight.
Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; comfort learning servicing platforms and reporting tools.
Assistant Vice President (AVP):
Ideal for more experienced professionals capable of owning processes, leading initiatives, and providing subject‑matter expertise.
4–7+ years of experience in Agency commercial real estate servicing, loan operations, or a similar financial services function.
Strong working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other GSE servicing requirements, including rate mechanics, collateral obligations, and post‑closing workflows.
Demonstrated ability to perform advanced exception management, loan‑level analysis, and high‑accuracy system updates with limited supervision.
Experience coordinating with technology vendors, leading UAT cycles, and supporting platform enhancements or process automation efforts.
Prior involvement in loan sales, securitizations, investor transfers, or payoff/defeasance workflows.
Ability to mentor junior associates and serve as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Expectations Regarding Hybrid Working:
As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy on physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly, this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita requires. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 or even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our clients’ demands.
Salary Range: (dependent on experience)
Associate level: $75,000 - $100,000
AVP level: $105,000 - $125,000
