Job description

Delta Capita is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic transformation programme within a leading Investment Banking client. This role will focus on improving operational efficiency, strengthening controls, enhancing margin call and payment accuracy, and driving sustainable process improvements across Operations teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Business, Risk, Controls and Change stakeholders to analyse current-state processes, identify control gaps, design future-state operating models and deliver operational transformation initiatives.

This is not a Technology BA, PMO, Regulatory Reporting or Product Owner role. We are specifically seeking candidates with hands-on experience delivering change within Investment Banking Operations environments.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct current-state process assessments and end-to-end process mapping

  • Identify operational inefficiencies, process bottlenecks and control weaknesses

  • Design target-state operating models, workflows and control frameworks

  • Document business requirements, operating procedures, controls and process flows

  • Lead workshops with Operations, Business, Risk and Change stakeholders

  • Perform root cause analysis and gap assessments

  • Support implementation of process improvements and operational control enhancements

  • Define and track remediation actions to completion

  • Drive stakeholder engagement across multiple business areas

  • Support testing, implementation readiness and change adoption activities

  • Produce high-quality documentation including process maps, operating models, requirements and governance materials

Required Experience

  • 5-8 years' experience within Financial Services

  • Experience in Banking Middle Office Operations (settlements, margin, payments)

  • Strong Business Analysis experience within Investment Banking or Capital Markets

  • Proven experience delivering Operations Change and Process Improvement initiatives

  • Experience conducting current-state and future-state process analysis

  • Strong process mapping and workflow design experience

  • Understanding of operational controls, governance and risk frameworks

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across Operations, Business and Change functions

  • Strong documentation, communication and facilitation skills

    Preferred Domain Experience

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Margin Operations

  • Collateral Management

  • Trade Operations

  • Middle Office

  • Payments

  • Settlements

  • Asset Servicing

  • Securities Operations

  • Prime Brokerage Operations

  • Capital Markets Operations

  • Corporate Actions

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Delivered operational transformation programmes

  • Redesigned operating models and business processes

  • Improved controls and governance frameworks

  • Led remediation and process optimisation initiatives

  • Worked closely with Operations teams within Investment Banking environments

  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills

Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000 (dependent on experience)

Success Profile

The successful candidate will combine strong Business Analysis capability with a deep understanding of Investment Banking Operations and will be comfortable challenging existing processes, designing improved operating models and driving meaningful operational change.
