Role Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fast-growing Consulting Business working with some of the world’s leading financial institutions.
As a Managing Consultant / Principal Consultant you will support large‑scale finance transformation and cost optimisation programmes within tier‑one banking and financial services clients.
This role sits at the intersection of finance change, data‑led transformation, and operating model re‑engineering, supporting clients to enhance accruals, cost allocation methodologies, management information (MI), controls, and analytics.
The successful candidate will work directly with senior client stakeholders, owning delivery streams and, where required, leading small workstreams or teams across complex transformation initiatives.

Job requirements
The Role and Responsibilities
Lead and support finance transformation initiatives, including the documentation, analysis, and redesign of accrual and cost allocation methodologies, driving a more data‑led and transparent accounting approach.
Perform detailed data analysis and testing across cost, accrual, and cost‑driver datasets to validate methodologies, calculations, and management reporting outputs.
Design, implement, and enhance management information (MI) frameworks, including Cost of Income (CoI) reporting and associated analytics.
Document end‑to‑end finance processes (accruals, cost allocation, reporting), identifying and delivering process re‑engineering opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and data quality.
Identify and support process automation opportunities, including requirements gathering, solution design, planning, and implementation, working closely with technology and data teams.
Establish and maintain robust controls, operating procedures, and documentation, including the creation of a single invoice inventory with associated governance and reporting.
Ensure all finance processes and MI outputs are controlled, audit‑ready, and scalable.
Manage senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology, and Operations, providing clear communication, presentations, and recommendations.
Support delivery planning, workstream leadership, and overall project governance, acting as a subject‑matter expert and mentoring junior consultants where required.
As an experienced Managing/Principal Consultant, you will have:
Strong finance transformation consulting background within banking or financial services.
Proven experience across:
Accruals and cost allocation methodologies
Management Information (MI) design and implementation
Finance process documentation and re‑engineering
Controls design and operating procedures
Strong data analysis capability (process, cost, and driver‑based data).
Experience supporting or delivering process automation and data‑led reporting.
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical mindset.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
Comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous, and regulated environments.
Desirable skills:
Cost of Income (CoI) reporting and analytics
Operating model or finance change initiatives
Experience working within statement‑of‑work consulting engagements
Exposure to testing, validation, and assurance of finance solutions
Familiarity with analytics or automation tools (e.g. Power BI, Alteryx, SQL‑based analysis)

Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
