Role Summary

Delta Capita is seeking an Operational Risk & Controls Analyst to support Operational Permanent Control (OPC) activities for a major financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate the execution of RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) activities across business units.

  • Support business units in identifying, documenting, and assessing operational risks and controls.

  • Maintain and update risk and control inventories in the risk management system.

  • Monitor the timely completion of RCSA activities and escalate delays or issues.

  • Review and challenge risk and control assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of control testing plans.

  • Analyse RCSA results to identify trends, emerging risks, and control weaknesses.

  • Prepare and present RCSA reports and dashboards for senior management and governance forums.

Job requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, especially RCSA methodology.

  • Familiarity with risk taxonomies, control libraries, and risk appetite frameworks.

  • Experience in analysing data to identify trends, root causes, and control failures.

  • Ability to spot inconsistencies or anomalies in risk/control data.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with control owners, risk partners, and senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple assessments and deadlines across business units.

  • Organised and proactive in tracking progress and follow-ups.

  • Proficiency in risk management platforms.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations.

  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

This is a fixed term contract located in Dublin.
