Job description

An opportunity has arisen to join a Tier 1 Investment Bank within their OTC Exotics Sales Support team. The role sits close to Sales and Trading and plays a critical role in ensuring accurate trade capture, enrichment, lifecycle processing and settlement readiness across complex OTC products. A key requirement of this role is the ability to step into unresolved, time‑critical issues, quickly understand the root cause, and take ownership of coordinating resolution across multiple downstream teams, internal functions and external counterparties.


Key Responsibilities

  • Front Office & Issue Ownership, act as a primary Sales Support contact for OTC options trades, partnering closely with Sales, Trading and key internal stakeholders

  • Proactively own trade and lifecycle issues that are not progressing through downstream teams, driving root‑cause analysis and resolution

  • Act as the escalation point for settlement issues involving key clients

  • Demonstrate knowledge on the trade enrichment and settlement lifecycle to support front office

  • Serve as a confident escalation point, engaging senior stakeholders where required

  • Provide support across OTC Vanilla and Exotic Options

  • Capture and apply trade allocations from multiple sources into the firm’s risk and trade processing system

  • Ensure trades are fully enriched to support downstream processing, confirmations and settlement

  • Coordinate across Onboarding, COO, BURM, Sales and Operations teams to ensure new clients and accounts are set up and approved for execution

  • Act as a central point of accountability to ensure resolution timelines on expectations are met and issues are resolved

  • Manage and support workflows, coordinating approvals and consents across required control groups prior to execution

  • Support a wide range of OTC lifecycle events, ensuring accuracy and control throughout

  • Own Markit Wire matching, confirmation and trade flow issues related to supported products

  • Liaise with counterparties and internal teams to ensure timely resolution and minimal risk exposure

  • Leverage strong client and internal relationships to resolve settlement breaks efficiently and professionally

  • Work closely with Operations and Middle Office to reduce repeat breaks and improve processes

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (all analytical disciplines considered)

  • Proven experience in a Sales Support, Trade Support, Middle Office or Front‑Office‑aligned Operations role within an investment bank

  • Strong hands‑on experience with OTC Vanilla and Exotic Options

  • Demonstrated experience with trade enrichment, allocations, lifecycle events and settlement escalation

  • Ability to operate confidently with senior internal stakeholders, including Sales and Trading

This is a fixed-term contract full-time position located in Birmingham. For this role a valid working permit for the UK is mandatory.

Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 days and even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our client demands.
