OTC Exotics Sales Support

This is a Sales Support role supporting the Flow and Exotic UK Equity Derivative Sales team. The team is part of larger Operations team and on the trading floor with the expectation that they leverage their proximity to Sales and Trading to resolve issues quickly. The individual must be able to work harmoniously with their counterpart in an intense environment taking full ownership of tasks as they come in. Frequent and proactive communication with the Sales desk and Ops management is required to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • A key requirement of this role is the ability to jump in on ongoing issues that are not being resolved quickly by downstream teams, understand the root issue and own the coordination of it through to a speedy resolution.

  • Must have experirence with OTC vanilla and Exotic options

  • Listed options/Equity Swaps nice to have

  • Allocations – Capturing allocations from various sources and applying them to the trades in our risk system. Looking for more efficient ways to do this, considering migrating clients to the more STP Block Allocation model via MarkitWire or applying defaulting logic.

  • Client onboarding – Coordinate the Onboarding, COO, BURM and Sales teams to setup new accounts ready for trade execution.

  • Novations – Capturing the consent from various groups ready for execution.

  • MarkitWire – Resolving all matching and tradeflow issues

  • Settlements escalation – Be the escalation point for settlement issues with key clients and use your client contacts to resolve issues.

 

 Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent: All analytical disciplines considered.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to deal with senior internal clients & join a team of experienced professionals.

  • Demonstration in their past work experience of robust analytical skills, high attention to detail, process improvement and a control mind set.

  • A self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative as well as be a solid team player

  • Strong product knowledge across equity products essential.

This is a permanent full-time position located in London with hybrid working. For this role a valid working permit for the UK is mandatory.

Expectations regarding hybrid working: 
As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 days and even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our client demands.
