Job description
Role Overview:
The Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for ensuring that business-sponsored programs and projects are planned, managed and governed in a consistent and disciplined manner, with a focus on high quality execution and client experience. A Project Manager is responsible for tracking key projects for the duration of the project life cycle for the Report Hub business. The position requires an experienced professional with the right mix of relevant experience and skills, an ability to flex between the strategic and the tactical, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented product development environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for independently managing projects for the life-cycle from initiation through closing to meet the project’s objectives and stakeholders’ expectations
Support the Business and Portfolio Manager by providing PMO services across the Report Hub business
Work closely with stakeholders to plan and develop roadmap, scope, deliverables, work plan and timing for assigned projects
Proactively manage the risk, issue and change resolution process, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed; identify the ‘path to green’
Define the project governance structure; establish processes and procedures for maintaining proactive project management oversight and decision-making support throughout the entire project life cycle
Ensure organization is operationally ready prior to implementation
Capture stakeholder needs and expectations, gaining and maintaining stakeholder support, and mitigating opposition
Adhere to project management methodologies, standards and tools across the Report Hub business
Produce and maintain project reports for stakeholders, to provide transparency and to facilitate decision-making
Lead project team meetings ensuring that project obstacles, issues and risks are surfaced, documented and addressed
Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Job requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or related certification preferred
Strong IT Project Management experience
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
