This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to join Delta Capita. The Programme Manager will be responsible for taking on an inflight programme and delivering to completion. The programme delivery is complex, client facing and involves onboarding a client onto one of our existing platforms, which is also being enhanced: nothing an experienced Client facing programme manager will not have seen before. You will implement robust governance, a delivery framework focusing on the critical path, and manage both internal and Client stakeholders to ensure successful business outcomes. This role demands a hands-on leader with deep experience in Capital Markets, technical delivery of product into a service delivery environment, and client management.

Job requirements

Responsibilities include:

Scope Management & Change Control

• Establish agreed scope management process across the programme

• Establish and re-enforce rigorous change control processes.

• Refine delivery plan by business value outcomes (if required) and manage client expectations of any changes

• Ensure new / changed scope and commercial implications are managed via Change Control and ensure traceability of any changes.

Governance & Reporting

• Strengthen current governance structure

• Lead programme steering committees and chair the working groups across the Client / Service provider teams

• Ensure timely reporting of status – including progress against critical path of plan, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones

• Drive accountability and transparency across delivery teams

Internal Stakeholder Management

• Engage with senior leadership, product owners, and technical leads

• Align programme objectives with strategic DC business goals

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and conflict resolution around competing priorities

• Provide clear, consistent communication to all internal stakeholders

Client Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the programme lifecycle

• Establish and build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and sponsors

• Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction with delivery progress

• Anticipate and manage potential Client issues before they happen

Commercial Management

• Monitor and manage programme budgets, forecasts, and financial performance

• Ensure commercial / contractual obligations are met and documented

• Support robust contract negotiations and change requests

• Track resource utilisation and optimise delivery costs

Technical Delivery Management

• Create the end-to- end delivery plan identifying internal / external dependencies so that the critical path can be defined and managed

• Oversee end-to-end technical delivery, ensuring alignment with architecture and engineering standards

• Work with Client technical team manager to ensure that interdependencies between teams are managed effectively

• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams

• Ensure timely delivery of technical milestones and integration points

• Support Identification and resolution of technical risks and blockers

Change Management

• Develop and execute change management strategies to support adoption on both external Client and internal Service delivery organisations

• Engage with impacted business lines to ensure readiness on the Client and on the internal team side

• Coordinate training, communications, and stakeholder engagement plans

• Monitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies as needed

Service Transition

• Ensure smooth handover from project delivery to operational support: Define and implement service readiness criteria and transition plans

• Collaborate with Service Management and Support teams to ensure that the Client is familiar with the future target operating model

• Ensure SLAs, support models, and documentation are in place

Required skills and experience

As an experienced Programme Manager, you will have:

• Extensive programme/project delivery experience in Capital Markets

• Proven track record of delivering large complex technical Programmes of work in Capital markets, ideally in a Client facing, consulting / service onboarding role

• Strong understanding of front-to-back trading systems, data, and infrastructure. Comfortable with agile/waterfall delivery model

• Experience of delivering Services to clients (ideally within Capital Markets), with service transition and operational readiness experience

• Structured and disciplined to manage extended team in matrix mode, across geographically dispersed project and stakeholder teams – driven, leads by example, takes initiative, problem solver, consensus builder

• Protects the delivery critical path timeframes - proactively identifies blockers and manages around them

• Excellent stakeholder management and Client management skills required, enabled by clear communication and influencing skills, escalates appropriately – comfortable working at the strategic level but can drive detailed solutions if required

• Drives cross-team / country / Client collaboration Desirable

• Scrum and Prince 2

This is a permanent position located in London with hybrid working. There will be infrequent international travel involved. Please note you must have valid working permit for the UK.
