Grade: Principal Consultant / Vice President

Job Description:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will take a lead role in managing business analysis activities for complex system implementation and transformation projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, engaging with stakeholders at all levels to define requirements, improve processes, and drive strategic change within financial services organisations. This role requires strong analytical skills, consulting experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Lead the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements.

·       Develop and maintain detailed business and functional specifications.

·       Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define strategic objectives and ensure alignment with business goals.

·       Design and document end-to-end business processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation.

·       Act as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements.

·       Oversee testing and validation of software functionality against business needs.

·       Provide expert guidance on business transformation initiatives.

·       Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather insights and ensure buy-in.

·       Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.

·       Mentor and guide junior business analysts, sharing best practices and insights.

 

Job requirements

Requirements:

·       Extensive business analysis experience, with exposure to financial services or consulting

·       Strong understanding of business process modelling, requirements gathering, and documentation techniques.

·       Experience working with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, BI tools) and interpreting data to support business decisions.

·       Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and drive consensus.

·       Experience in leading business analysis activities for large-scale system implementation projects.

·       Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.

·       Strong knowledge of financial regulations and industry standards.

·       Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

 

Desirable: 

·       Experience in managing business analysis workstreams in financial services projects.

·       Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.

·       Knowledge of UX/UI principles and how they impact system usability.

·       Certification in Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner) or Business Analysis (CBAP, BCS, PMI-PBA).

·       Exposure to process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma).
