Title: Consultant - Senior Business Analyst (Collateral Management)

Location:  Poland (Gydnia / Warsaw preferred)

Employment Type: Full Time Contract / Permanent

 

About the role

As a Consultant, the successful candidate(s) will work directly with our clients to deliver the exception consulting services that Delta Capita is renowned for.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication skill, strong problem-solving skills, and will have experience in a Senior Business Analyst capacity ideally within the Financial Services sector, within the Global Treasury, Liquidity Team, which is responsible for safeguarding and optimising the Group’s balance sheet while ensuring adherence to the liquidity risk management framework.

The role holder will possess strong expertise in Collateral Management within the context of liquidity and funding, alongside a deep understanding of key liquidity measures as per the Group Framework (ILM, LCR, NSFR, PRA110, and other secondary monitoring metrics).

The successful candidate will be expected to identify areas for improvement within the existing collateral management framework and develop enhancements that align with client’s strategic objectives and comply with internal and regulatory governance requirements.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of key topics and overseeing the development and implementation of collateral capabilities globally concerning the client’s securities portfolio.

  • Facilitate discussions and collaborate closely with business lines, regional liquidity teams, Markets Treasury, and operations teams.

  • Provide expert recommendations on collateral management strategies and liquidity measures.

  • Work independently while ensuring alignment on the delivery of key initiatives.

  • Partner with regional Markets Treasury teams to set and monitor limits within the Collateral Framework.

  • Work with technology teams to implement automated solutions for Collateral Management.

  • Analyse and rationalise large volumes of complex information, identifying key themes and issues for presentation to stakeholders.

  • Support ongoing capability testing across all in-scope entities, coordinating UAT activities, release, and defect management, and escalating issues in a timely manner.

  • Deliver ad hoc reports and respond to Management Information (MI) requests as needed.

  • Conduct data analysis to validate new approaches and methodologies.

  • Query and manipulate large datasets, performing data transformations and analysis.

  • Visualise big data sets using platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.

  • Develop proof-of-concept models and monitor results for in-scope entities

Job requirements

  • Several years’ experience within an Investment Bank

  • Strong expertise in Collateral Management within the context of liquidity and funding, alongside a deep understanding of key liquidity measures as per the Group Framework (ILM, LCR, NSFR, PRA110, and other secondary monitoring metrics).

  • Experience within a Treasury department and strong liquidity management background within a financial institution

  • Self starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision. An ability to rapidly absorb and refine new concepts

  • Preference for candidates with proficiency in Python for data manipulation and data analysis
