We are recruiting for Smart DX legal documentation developers within our Structured Products automation teams at Delta Capita. Our team provide document automation expertise to support issuance to cross-asset structured products businesses at a range of tier one Investment Banks.

Job description

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop new and maintain/update existing Thunderhead/SmartDX templates for legal documentation (Pricing Supplements, Final Terms, Term Sheets documentation) for structured product transactions;
  • Review the above templates for accuracy against the base template provided by the client and the specific trade details;
  • Manage a pipeline of work, adhering to deadlines and providing oversight of status and progress;
  • Partner with the legal departments when required to review legal documentation and templates for new or adapted payoffs;
  • Initiate process improvements and leverage technology for document automation;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts in Operations, Structuring, Legal and Trading.

Job requirements

Experience / Skills

  • Have Thunderhead/SmartDX template development capabilities – Strong experience in developing Thunderhead/SmartDX Templates for transactional documents, including but not limited to Structured Products Term Sheets and Pricing Supplements/Final Terms, OTC Term Sheets and Confirmations.
  • Testing of Thunderhead/SmartDX templates – including planning, tooling, monitoring, progress reporting and regression testing.
  • Managing the Automation of Documentation – Planning, prioritization, monitoring STP progress, MI compilation, STP break analysis, team communications.
  • Experience within the financial service industry drafting and templating issuance documentation for securities or structured products, or complex or non-standard derivatives;
  • Experience working on structured products and/or derivative transactions
  • Highly organized and extremely detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workflow in order to meet deadlines
  • Past experience of working as part of a team and understanding the impact that delivery of your work has on your colleagues.
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering high quality work.
  • A strong work ethic proven by previous working experience or school/university activities.
  • Word, Excel, Outlook (or similar) skills to a high standard.

This is a permanent, full time position located in London. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
