Job description

We are seeking an End-to-End Testing Lead to join our dynamic team, focusing on quality assurance, user testing and release management with Workflow Management and Data Systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in manual and automated testing, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions in a secure and structured environment.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing & Quality Assurance:

    • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for applications built on the Workflow Solutions Platform using JIRA testing.

    • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

    • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into effective test plans.

  • Test Management:

    • Utilize JIRA Test Plans or similar tools to manage test cases, test suites, and test runs.

    • Track and report on test progress, coverage, and results to stakeholders.

  • Defect Management:

    • Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution using Service Now tickets and JIRA, or equivalent platforms.

    • Work closely with development teams to triage and prioritize issues.

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

    • Coordinate and support UAT activities with business users.

    • Ensure feedback is captured, analyzed, and incorporated into the release cycle.

  • Release & Environment Coordination:

    • Plan and coordinate software releases across multiple environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Production).

    • Maintain environment integrity and ensure proper version control and deployment sequencing.

    • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to manage release pipelines and deployment schedules.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in QA, user testing and release management, preferably within JIRA.

  • Proficiency with JIRA, especially the setup and management of testing plans.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release automation.

    This is a fixed-term contract based in London. As the selection and interview process is ongoing, please submit your application in English as soon as possible, if your profile is selected, a member of our team will contact you within 4 weeks. For this role a valid working permit for the UK is mandatory.

    Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 days and even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our client demands.
