Job description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Project Manager with a strong background in financial services and transformation/change delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of third-party risk frameworks, regulatory expectations, and experience leading end-to-end TPRM initiatives as part of broader change and transformation programs.
This role will play a key part in enhancing and embedding the organisation's TPRM operating model, ensuring it aligns with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage TPRM projects across the full project lifecycle – from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop and implement TPRM strategies, frameworks, and operating models within change programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Risk, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, IT, Operations) to align third-party risk initiatives with wider business transformation goals.
Drive delivery of risk assessment processes, due diligence activities, and remediation plans for third-party vendors.
Manage senior stakeholders and governance forums to report on risk exposure, project milestones, and transformation outcomes.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with third-party relationships, especially within cloud, data, and operational outsourcing arrangements.
Ensure compliance with key regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA/PRA, EBA Guidelines, DORA, GDPR).
Work with Change teams to integrate TPRM processes into enterprise-wide change frameworks and tooling.
Oversee training, awareness, and communications on TPRM transformation initiatives.
Job requirements
Knowledge & Skills:
Extensive experience in TPRM within the Financial Services sector.
Strong project management skills with demonstrable experience delivering complex transformation and change initiatives.
In-depth knowledge of third-party/vendor risk lifecycle including onboarding, due diligence, risk assessments, monitoring, and exit planning.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, DORA, EBA Outsourcing Guidelines).
Proven experience managing cross-functional delivery teams and engaging senior stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment with competing priorities.
Desirable:
Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, MSP).
Experience with TPRM platforms or GRC tools (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow, Coupa, ProcessUnity).
Knowledge of Operational Resilience frameworks and their integration with TPRM.
