Job Description 

We are looking to recruit an experienced team member with experience in Securities issuance. This role within Delta Capita’s Structured Product Managed Services Group is in the Transaction Management Team of issuance specialists. The team support Tier 1 investment banks in their issuance of cross-asset structured products. 

An integral part of the role involves working closely alongside the front office and support departments, in particular Structuring, Trading, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Trade Management and Operations. The role will cover a range of Transaction Management related functions, and the successful candidate will: 

  • Possess an adequate technical understanding of the financial markets, and the products and asset classes, along with a general familiarity with the financial services sector;  

  • Have strong analysis skills and demonstrate a problem-solving ability;  

  • Show an aptitude to building working relationships with clients and colleagues at various levels of seniority and backgrounds, in a deadline focussed and demanding environment; 

  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize workload appropriately during busy periods, working to meet hard deadlines.

Job requirements

Roles and responsibilities 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities in support of our Client’s business: 

  • Provide new issuance support process to provide transaction support to the structured products business (Booking, Documentation, , Settlement); 

  • Apply analysis skills to identify and document issues and limitations with current systems and processes, articulate plans for remediation and implementation of improvements; 

  • Kick-off documentation process; 

  • Coordinate review and approval of documentation by Trading, Sales & Structuring; 

  • Coordinate any bookings or amendments (additional sales, change in issue size etc); 

  • Ensure Termsheets / Legal Docs are kept up-to-date with bookings; 

  • Draft and update procedures relating to any of the above work-streams. 

 

 

Experience / Skills 

 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in financial markets - securities issuance or derivatives support. 

  • Experience working on structured products and/or derivative transactions; 

  • Highly organized and extremely detail oriented; 

  • Excellent communication skills; 

  • Ability to prioritize workflow in order to meet deadlines; 

  • Past experience of working as part of a team and understanding the impact that delivery of your work has on your colleagues; 

  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering high quality work; 

  • A strong work ethic proven by previous working experience; 

  • Word, Excel, Outlook (or similar) skills to a high standard; 

  • Experience in processing of securities and/or derivatives in middle office, primary settlement, and or Life Cycle Event Processing 

Expectations Regarding Hybrid Working:

As a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the client's offices or our own offices, depending on the client) aligns with our client's policies and expectations, and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly, this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita requires. For this initial role, the client requires the candidate to work from their office 5 days per week.

 

Salary Range:

$65,000-$85,000
