Job description

We’re seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our strategic U.S. Treasury Clearing initiative. This high-impact role requires deep knowledge of the UST market ecosystem, clearing structures, regulatory frameworks, and post-trade processes. As a key contributor, you’ll drive analysis, influence design decisions, and help implement change across front-to-back workflows.

 

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on U.S. Treasury clearing workflows, including central clearing models, margining, settlement, and risk mitigation.

Partner with front office, operations, technology, and compliance teams to ensure effective alignment with market conventions and regulatory expectations.

Lead or support business analysis efforts to identify impacts, dependencies, and opportunities across the firm.

Contribute to change management planning—supporting stakeholder engagement, communications, and training strategies.

Help develop KRI’s and KPI’s to ensure key controls are monitored and risk is mitigated

Monitor industry developments (e.g., SEC rule changes, FICC membership requirements, Newly approved CCP’s) to anticipate impacts and inform the program strategy.

Represent the firm in working groups, industry forums, or client-facing initiatives as a clearing SME.

Job requirements

Required Experience & Skills

Minimum 10 years of experience in fixed income trading, clearing, or operations—preferably focused on U.S. Treasuries.

Deep familiarity with market infrastructure (e.g., FICC, DTCC), CCPs, dealer-client clearing relationships, and related regulatory requirements.

Strong cross-functional understanding—able to bridge front office, middle/back office, risk, legal, and tech perspectives

This is a permanent, full-time position located in New York. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
